One League, Two Champions
One league, two champions? The concept seemed implausible until the Titans League introduced the two-division format to address competitive parity.
Seven teams took the field in 2005.
In the National Division, expansion team Philippine Air Force registered the league's first unbeaten season, dethroning defending champion Cebuana Lhuillier in the process.
The Marikina Golden Bears, led by league Most Valuable Player Arjay Santos, clawed their way back from a miserable first half to settle for the Republic Division title despite a sub-.500 record.
The Alabang Olympians endured another heartbreaking season, while rival Makati's Trojans failed to win any of its contests and wound up in the cellar for the third straight year.
The expansion team KIDS All-Stars were competitive in winning half their games.
Meanwhile, the Antipolo City ACG missed the play-offs for the first time in three years, folding midway through the season. |

| FORMAT |
| |
Seven teams were grouped into two divisions.
The first three seeded teams comprised the National (Zeus) Division. The next four seeded teams comprised the Republic (Poseidon) Division.
In the first half of the season, teams played each division opponent twice. Thereafter, the top two teams of the Republic Division switched to the National Division while the bottom two teams of the National Division switched to the Republic Division.
In the second half of the season, teams then played each division opponent once. Thereafter, the first place teams of each division automatically qualified for their respective Division Championship.
The second and third place teams of each division went into a play-off to determine which team advanced to its respective Division Championship.
There was one game for the National Division Championship and one game for the Republic Division Championship.
