Turning Up the Heat
Breaking new ground for baseball

One of this season's biggest turnout kept the Titans Baseball Club on course for the Titans League a little over two weeks from now.

Jeff Rodriguez put on a display of power by smacking two homers to go with a double and Sonny Pensaber hurled a seven-inning complete game to highlight the 'road' team's 7-5 victory during last Sunday's intrasquad game. Herbert Salvador also hit a tater in the 'home' squad's loss.

Jeff Rodriguez smacked two homers in last Sunday's game. With the league fast appoaching, several players are eager to get things in tow if only to make their game respectable.

For some it's a dream come true, regardless of how the league turns out. Who would've thought a few years back that there would be a regular baseball circuit catering to adults of all skill levels? The answer lies in each members' efforts to consolidate various baseball interests onto the same playing field.

It's now a given that the club has opened an avenue for people of even marginal interest to play baseball, hinging on the philosophy that popular participation will get the juices flowing. Sustaining the system will be key towards future growth and development of the adult game in the country.

Whether it's some college player who wants to tune-up for the collegiate season, an over-the-hill coach itching to get back on the field, a novice who's exposure has been limited to the web or television, a parent whose child plays little league, a former player who just wants to keep playing to unwind from a week's work, or an athlete who puts a premium on fitness, the Titans Baseball Club has welcomed them all and will continue to do so.
