Titans Baseball Club - Philippines

My being part of the Titans League this year is a case of being at the right place at the right time. With one of the teams lacking one player during its pilot game, I had to change into that baseball uniform in order to complete the roster. With no baseball experience at hand I was in awe and utter confusion while I stood at the outfield.

I've never been to an actual baseball game in my entire life. Until Titans, the only baseball I've known are the ones I'd see in movies. The closest thing I got to playing the game was when I'd join some of the players during the Titans pre-season baseball camps wherein I played maybe a total of less than five games; still not enough to make me a legit baseball player if I must say.

Looking around I can't help but feel intimidated by the players around me, most of whom have one or two stories to tell about their baseball triumphs, defeats, experiences and just plain baseball in a nutshell. Nonetheless, I have never felt being an outsider just because I didn't have the experience and skills they possess. Everyone is very supportive and patient in teaching and showing me the right moves.

I may not be able to hit a homerun or a base hit yet for that matter nor catch a ball in the outfield but I am pretty determined to learn the game and play it respectably. Good thing someone thought of putting up this group who welcomed everyone who wanted to play. Because of this…
